Watch Culture Art-Based Community Development Show at TMII

Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department is holding an event titled the Culture Art-Based Community Development at Bhineka Theater, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), East Jakarta, on December 15-17. In this event, 20 art communities will perform 10 shows on dance, music, as well as traditional and modern theater.

We want to initiate art activity that can develop artists so they would develop professionally, and give appreciation to art communities through this event

Head of Public Empowerment Division Community Section for Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department, Rus Suharto, said there are many interesting and unique artists in the capital city who have not got place to become professional artists. On that basis, his party tries to facilitate those artists through this event.

“We want to initiate art activity that can develop artists so they would develop professionally, and give appreciation to art communities through this event,” he stated, Monday (12/15).

Batavia Arts Festival Went Lively

Suharto told this event is interesting and entertaining the public as well as has a quality and educating. It is staged at 2-9 PM and visitors do not need to spend money to watch the show.

“We’re targeting 3,000 visitors. We are optimistic this event would be lively because the visitors are not charged,” he uttered.

Among the artists to perform in this Culture Art-Based Community Development event are Jikustik are Kikan Namira Band. There will be also Indonesian traditional game attractions performed by Gasing Community as well as China Shanghai musical performance by Nangfeng Community.
